Social Login

Overview

ReelBot supports social login to make account access faster and more reliable.

Social login allows you to sign up and log in using an existing account from a trusted provider, without creating or managing a separate password.

Supported providers:

  • Google
  • Apple
  • X (Twitter)
  • Facebook

Why use social login?

Social login offers several benefits:

  • no password to remember
  • faster signup and login
  • built-in email verification
  • reduced risk of account lockout

For many users, it’s the simplest way to get started.

Signing up with social login

When you sign up using a social provider:

  1. You choose a provider (Google, Apple, X, or Facebook)
  2. You authenticate with that provider
  3. ReelBot creates your account automatically
  4. You are logged in immediately

No additional verification steps are required.

Email verification behavior

Social login accounts are considered verified by default.

This is because:

  • the provider already verifies email ownership
  • ReelBot trusts that verification

As a result:

  • no verification email is sent
  • access is granted immediately

Logging in with social providers

If you originally signed up with a social provider:

  • you must log in using the same provider
  • email/password login is not enabled by default

This ensures authentication remains predictable and secure.

Automatic account creation

If you attempt to log in with a social provider and:

  • no ReelBot account exists for that email

ReelBot will:

  • automatically create the account
  • sign you in seamlessly

This avoids unnecessary signup steps.

Interaction with smart login detection

Social login works together with Smart Login Detection.

When you enter an email address:

  • ReelBot can detect if it’s linked to a social provider
  • the correct provider is highlighted
  • you’re guided to the right login method

This prevents failed attempts and duplicate accounts.

Passwords and social login

Social login accounts do not have a ReelBot-managed password.

This means:

  • password reset is not available
  • login must always use the social provider

If you need to access your account, you should use the same provider you signed up with.

Changing email addresses

If you change your email address in a social provider:

  • future logins may be affected
  • you should ensure the provider email matches your ReelBot account

Email changes are handled carefully to prevent accidental account mismatches.

Security considerations

Social login relies on:

  • the provider’s authentication and security
  • secure token-based access
  • standard OAuth flows

ReelBot does not:

  • store your social account passwords
  • access data beyond basic account identity
  • perform actions on your behalf without permission

When social login may not be ideal

You may prefer email/password login if:

  • you want a provider-independent account
  • you manage access in a team or business context
  • you prefer explicit password control

Both methods are supported — choose what fits your workflow.

The CreatorOps perspective

CreatorOps systems aim to remove unnecessary friction.

Social login helps by:

  • reducing access overhead
  • preventing account recovery issues
  • keeping users focused on creation

Authentication should be invisible — until you need it.

  • Signup & Login
  • Smart Login Detection
  • Password Reset
  • Email Verification
  • Account Security

Access should be fast, secure, and predictable — social login helps deliver that.
