Channels Overview
What are channels in ReelBot?
Channels are connected social media accounts that ReelBot can publish videos to on your behalf.
They represent:
- authenticated platform connections
- publishing destinations
- permission boundaries
Channels do not create content — they enable distribution.
Why channels exist
Channels exist to:
- centralize publishing access
- avoid repeated logins
- enforce plan-based limits
- make publishing predictable and secure
Without channels, publishing is not possible.
Supported platforms
ReelBot currently supports connecting channels for:
- X (Twitter)
- TikTok
- YouTube
Where channels are managed
Channels are managed from the Channels section inside the app.
From there, you can:
- view connected accounts
- add new channels
- remove existing channels
- see channel limits based on your plan
Connecting a channel
To connect a channel:
- Go to Channels
- Click Add Channel
- Choose a supported platform
- Authenticate with the platform
- Grant required permissions
Once connected, the channel becomes available in the Publish Dialog.
Channel permissions
When you connect a channel, ReelBot receives permission to:
- publish videos
- post captions
- associate media with posts
ReelBot does not:
- read private messages
- access analytics beyond publishing status
- perform actions without your intent
Permissions are limited to publishing only.
Channel limits
The number of channels you can connect depends on your subscription plan.
Examples:
- Free plans support limited channels
- Paid plans support more connected accounts
Current limits are always visible in:
- the Channels page
- Subscription & Usage
Removing a channel
You can remove a channel at any time.
Removing a channel:
- immediately disables publishing to that account
- does not delete published posts
- does not affect drafts or projects
Draft posts using a removed channel will need to be updated before publishing.
Channels and publishing
To publish a post:
- at least one channel must be connected
- the channel must be supported by your plan
- sufficient post quota must be available
If requirements aren’t met, publishing is blocked gracefully.
Channels and drafts
Draft posts can exist:
- without connected channels
- with channels that are later removed
Publishing validates channel availability at execution time.
Security and ownership
Channels are:
- tied to your account
- isolated from other users
- revocable at any time
You remain the owner of the connected account at all times.
Common mistakes to avoid
- assuming channels auto-publish content
- connecting more channels than your plan allows
- removing channels mid-batch without updating drafts
- forgetting to reconnect expired accounts
Channels enable publishing — they don’t automate intent.
The CreatorOps perspective
In CreatorOps, integrations should be:
- explicit
- permission-bound
- reversible
Channels give ReelBot just enough access to publish — nothing more.
This keeps workflows scalable and secure.
