Video Assets (B-roll)
What are video assets?
Video assets (commonly referred to as B-roll) are video clips used as the visual layer of your ReelBot videos.
They provide:
- visual context
- pacing support
- engagement during narration
- structure for cinematic videos
Video assets are reusable inputs, not one-time attachments.
Where video assets come from
ReelBot supports video assets from three sources:
My Videos
Your personal video library.
Includes:
- uploaded video files
- AI-animated images
- previously added assets
These assets:
- count toward your storage limit
- can be reused across unlimited projects
Public Videos
A shared stock video library.
Features:
- searchable by keyword
- filtered by orientation
- previewable before selection
Public videos:
- do not count toward storage
- must be added to your library before use
- are shared across all users
AI Studio
Static images converted into video.
You can:
- upload an image
- let ReelBot animate it subtly
- use the resulting MP4 as B-roll
AI-generated video assets behave exactly like uploaded videos once created.
Selecting video assets
During the Video Studio → Assets step:
- you must select at least one video asset
- selected assets appear with a numbered indicator
- the number represents playback order
You can:
- select one clip
- or select multiple clips to create a sequence
Asset ordering and playback
The order of selected video assets defines:
- the visual playback sequence
- how clips are looped or trimmed
Behavior:
- clips are sequenced in the selected order
- ReelBot automatically trims or loops clips
- visuals adapt to match the voiceover length
No manual timeline editing is required.
Orientation handling
Video assets are orientation-aware.
By default:
- only assets matching the selected video orientation are shown
You can:
- toggle orientation filtering
- view all assets if needed
This helps prevent accidental mismatches in vertical videos.
Previewing video assets
Every video asset can be previewed before use.
Previewing allows you to:
- check quality
- confirm motion
- assess visual fit
Previewing does not consume credits or storage.
Reusing video assets
Once a video asset is in your library, you can:
- reuse it across multiple projects
- mix it with other assets
- reorder it freely
Deleting an asset:
- removes it from your library
- does not affect videos already generated
Generated videos embed assets at render time.
Video assets in different video types
With Narration
Video assets:
- support the spoken message
- are paced according to voice timing
- should avoid overpowering captions
Cinematic / Music Only
Video assets:
- are the primary content
- define pacing and mood
- rely heavily on visual coherence
Choose assets accordingly.
Best practices for video assets
For best results:
- use 1–3 clips per short video
- favor calm motion behind captions
- avoid visually noisy footage
- reuse strong clips across batches
Consistency outperforms novelty.
Common mistakes to avoid
- selecting too many clips
- ignoring orientation mismatches
- using fast motion behind captions
- re-uploading the same asset repeatedly
B-roll should support the message — not fight it.
The CreatorOps perspective
In CreatorOps, video assets are inventory, not decoration.
Well-managed B-roll:
- speeds up creation
- reduces decision fatigue
- creates visual consistency at scale
ReelBot treats video assets as reusable building blocks.
