Uploading Assets

What does uploading assets mean?

Uploading assets allows you to add your own media to the Assets Library so it can be reused across videos.

Uploaded assets become first-class inputs in ReelBot:

  • reusable across projects
  • selectable during video creation
  • managed independently from generated videos

Once uploaded, assets persist until you delete them.

Supported asset types

ReelBot currently supports uploading:

Video files (B-roll)

Used as background visuals.

Typical formats include:

  • MP4
  • MOV

Video uploads are used as-is and are not altered during upload.

Audio files (music)

Used as background music.

Typical formats include:

  • MP3
  • WAV

Music uploads are optional per video and limited to one track at a time.

Image files (for animation)

Used in AI Studio.

Typical formats include:

  • JPG
  • PNG

Images are converted into short animated video clips before use.

Where you can upload assets

Assets can be uploaded from two places:

Assets Library

Upload directly into:

  • My Videos
  • My Music

This is ideal for preparing assets in advance.

Video Studio (Assets step)

Upload assets while creating a video.

This is useful when:

  • you realize you need a specific clip
  • you want to add media on the fly

Uploaded assets immediately appear in your library and can be selected.

Upload limits

Upload limits depend on your subscription plan.

Limits may apply to:

  • file size
  • total storage usage
  • number of stored assets

Current usage is always visible in:

  • the Dashboard
  • Subscription & Usage

Uploads are blocked gracefully if limits are exceeded.

Upload behavior

When you upload an asset:

  1. The file is validated
  2. Orientation (for videos/images) is detected
  3. The asset is stored in your library
  4. The asset becomes available for selection

Uploads do not consume AI credits.

Previewing uploaded assets

After upload, assets can be previewed immediately.

Previewing allows you to:

  • verify quality
  • confirm orientation
  • assess fit before use

Previewing does not affect limits or usage.

Asset naming and organization

Uploaded assets keep their original filenames.

Best practices:

  • use descriptive filenames
  • avoid duplicates
  • group assets logically before uploading

Clear naming speeds up selection later.

Reusing uploaded assets

Once uploaded, assets can be:

  • reused across unlimited projects
  • mixed with shared assets
  • reordered freely

Assets are not tied to a single video.

Deleting uploaded assets

You can delete uploaded assets at any time.

Deleting an asset:

  • removes it from your library
  • frees storage
  • does not affect videos already generated

Generated videos embed assets at render time.

Common mistakes to avoid

  • uploading the same asset multiple times
  • uploading very large files unnecessarily
  • deleting assets mid-batch
  • ignoring orientation mismatches

Good asset hygiene improves workflow speed.

The CreatorOps perspective

In CreatorOps, uploads are inputs to a system, not one-off actions.

Uploading assets once and reusing them:

  • reduces friction
  • improves consistency
  • saves time at scale

ReelBot treats uploads as reusable building blocks.

Upload once. Reuse often. Scale smoothly.
