Storage Limits & Usage
What counts as storage in ReelBot?
Storage in ReelBot refers to the space used by media files stored in your account.
Storage is consumed by:
- uploaded video assets (B-roll)
- uploaded music assets
- AI-animated image videos
Storage is not consumed by:
- shared library assets
- generated projects (final videos)
- drafts
- templates
- metadata or captions
Only assets you own count toward storage.
Storage vs projects
It’s important to distinguish between assets and projects:
- Assets → reusable inputs (count toward storage)
- Projects → generated outputs (do not count toward storage)
When a video is generated:
- assets are embedded into the render
- the final video is stored separately
- deleting an asset does not break existing videos
Plan-based storage limits
Storage limits depend on your subscription plan.
Examples:
- Free plans include limited storage for basic use
- Paid plans increase storage capacity
- Higher tiers support larger asset libraries
Your exact limit is always visible in:
- the Dashboard
- Subscription & Usage page
Viewing storage usage
You can monitor storage usage at any time.
Usage is shown as:
- used vs total storage
- broken down by asset type (videos, music, thumbnails, voiceovers)
Storage updates in real time when:
- uploading assets
- deleting assets
What happens when you reach the limit
If you reach your storage limit:
- new uploads are blocked
- existing assets remain usable
- projects can still be generated using existing assets
- shared library assets remain available
No content is deleted automatically.
Freeing up storage
You can free storage by:
- deleting unused video assets
- deleting unused music assets
- removing old animated image clips
Deleting assets:
- frees storage immediately
- does not affect existing projects
Storage and AI-generated assets
AI-generated assets (such as animated images):
- are stored in your library
- count toward storage
- behave like uploaded video assets
Deleting them frees storage like any other asset.
Storage and regeneration
Regenerating a video:
- does not duplicate assets
- does not increase storage usage
- only creates a new project output
Storage usage remains stable unless assets change.
Best practices for managing storage
To manage storage efficiently:
- reuse assets across projects
- avoid uploading duplicates
- delete unused assets periodically
- prefer shared library assets when possible
Good storage hygiene keeps workflows smooth.
Common misconceptions
- Deleting a project does not free storage
- Shared assets do not consume storage
- Storage is not consumed per video generation
- Regeneration does not increase storage usage
Storage applies only to owned assets.
The CreatorOps perspective
In CreatorOps, storage is inventory management.
By separating:
- reusable inputs (assets)
- generated outputs (projects)
ReelBot allows you to scale content creation without exponential storage growth.
