Music Assets
What are music assets?
Music assets are background audio tracks used to support mood, pacing, and tone in ReelBot videos.
Music is optional, but when used correctly it:
- enhances emotional impact
- smooths transitions
- supports pacing without distracting from speech
Music assets are reusable inputs shared across projects.
Where music assets are used
Music assets are selected in:
- Video Studio → Assets → Music
- both With Narration and Cinematic / Music Only flows
Each video can use only one music track.
Music asset sources
ReelBot supports music from two sources:
My Music
Your personal music library.
Includes:
- uploaded audio files
- previously added tracks
These assets:
- count toward your storage limit
- can be reused across unlimited projects
Shared Music Library
A shared collection of background tracks available to all users.
Shared music:
- does not count toward storage
- cannot be deleted
- is immediately available
- is curated for short-form use
Selecting music for a video
During the Assets step:
- you may select one music track
- music selection is optional
- selected music is applied to the entire video
If no music is selected:
- narrated videos rely on voice only
- cinematic videos rely on visuals alone
Music and voiceover priority
In narrated videos:
- voiceover always takes priority
- music volume is automatically balanced
- music never overlaps or masks speech
You do not need to manually adjust volume levels.
Music in cinematic videos
In Cinematic / Music Only videos:
- music becomes the primary audio
- pacing is driven by visuals and music together
- clip sequencing adapts to music length
Choose music that matches the intended mood and tempo.
Previewing music assets
Music tracks can be previewed before selection.
Previewing allows you to:
- assess mood
- check tempo
- confirm fit with your content
Previewing does not consume credits or storage.
Reusing music assets
Once a music asset is in your library:
- it can be reused across any number of videos
- it can be swapped without regenerating visuals
- it does not affect scripts or voiceovers
Deleting a music asset:
- removes it from your library
- does not affect already generated videos
Credits and usage
Music selection:
- does not consume AI credits
- does not consume video generation quota
- counts toward storage only if uploaded by you
Music is applied during final video composition.
Best practices for music selection
For best results:
- keep music subtle in narrated videos
- avoid vocals competing with speech
- match tempo to speech pacing
- reuse music across batches for consistency
Background music should support — not compete.
Common mistakes to avoid
- choosing loud or busy tracks
- using vocals under narration
- switching music styles mid-batch
- overusing music in informational content
Silence is sometimes the better choice.
The CreatorOps perspective
In CreatorOps, audio is part of the delivery system.
Music:
- sets emotional context
- reinforces pacing
- increases perceived polish
ReelBot automates the balance so you can focus on intent.
