Delete Account
What does deleting your account mean?
Deleting your account permanently removes your ReelBot identity and all associated data.
This action is:
- irreversible
- destructive
- immediate after confirmation
Once completed, the account cannot be recovered.
Where account deletion lives
Account deletion is available in Account Settings → Danger Zone.
It is intentionally placed away from daily workflows to prevent accidental actions.
What happens when you delete your account
When you confirm account deletion, ReelBot permanently removes:
- your user account and identity
- all generated projects (videos)
- all uploaded assets (videos, music, images)
- all drafts (videos and posts)
- all publishing history records
- all connected social channels
- all referral data and credits
- all subscription associations
This data is not recoverable.
What is cancelled automatically
Upon account deletion:
- active subscriptions are cancelled
- future billing stops
- referral credits are voided
- connected channels are revoked
You do not need to cancel separately.
What is NOT preserved
Deleting your account does not preserve:
- videos
- assets
- drafts
- settings
- usage history
- referral balances
If you need any data, export or download it before deleting.
Confirmation and safety checks
Before deletion, ReelBot requires:
- explicit confirmation
- acknowledgment of permanent data loss
- intentional user action
There is no one-click or silent deletion.
Social login considerations
If your account was created using a social provider:
- deleting your ReelBot account does not delete the social account
- only ReelBot’s access and data are removed
Social providers remain unaffected.
Billing considerations
If you have an active paid subscription:
- deletion cancels future charges
- unused time or credits are forfeited
- refunds are not automatic unless stated otherwise
Refer to billing terms for details.
When should you delete your account?
Account deletion may be appropriate if:
- you no longer plan to use ReelBot
- you are cleaning up unused services
- you want full data removal
If you only need to pause usage, consider downgrading or cancelling your plan instead.
Common misconceptions
- Deleting your account does not pause it — it destroys it
- Deleted data cannot be restored by support
- Cancelling a subscription is not the same as deleting an account
- Logging out does not delete anything
Deletion is final.
Best practices before deleting
Before deleting your account:
- download any videos you want to keep
- export important assets
- publish or delete any draft posts
- verify you truly want permanent removal
Once confirmed, there is no undo.
The CreatorOps perspective
In CreatorOps, ownership includes the right to exit completely.
ReelBot makes deletion:
- explicit
- transparent
- irreversible by design
This protects your autonomy and your data rights.
