Project Actions
What are Project Actions?
Project Actions are the controls available for each generated video (Project).
They allow you to:
- reuse videos
- iterate safely
- distribute content
- manage storage
Project Actions never modify a video silently — every action is explicit and intentional.
Where Project Actions appear
You can access Project Actions from:
- the Projects list
- the Project preview
- contextual menus next to each project row
Actions are available only for completed projects.
Available Project Actions
View (Preview)
Preview the video directly in-app.
Use this to:
- review pacing
- check captions
- confirm visuals
- validate generation quality
Previewing does not modify the project.
Download
Download the final video file to your device.
Common use cases:
- manual uploads to platforms
- external tools
- archiving or backups
Downloading does not affect usage limits.
Edit
Reopen the project in the Video Studio.
Editing allows you to:
- regenerate specific steps
- adjust settings
- create a new version of the video
Important notes:
- editing does not overwrite the original project
- a new project is created after regeneration
- the original project remains unchanged
This enables safe iteration.
Publish
Open the publishing dialog with:
- the selected video preloaded
- ready-to-fill metadata fields
From here, you can:
- choose connected channels
- write post text
- publish immediately or save as a draft
Publishing does not duplicate or modify the video file.
Delete
Permanently delete the project and its associated media.
Deletion:
- frees storage
- cannot be undone
- does not affect other projects
A confirmation step is always required.
Actions by project status
Project actions vary by status.
Completed
- View
- Download
- Edit
- Publish
- Delete
Processing
- View status only
- No actions available until completion
Failed
- Retry via edit
- Adjust inputs
- No quota is consumed
Failed projects preserve draft data for recovery.
Projects vs versions
Each successful generation creates a new project.
This means:
- multiple versions can coexist
- older versions remain accessible
- deletion is manual and explicit
ReelBot does not auto-replace projects.
Storage and limits
Project Actions interact with usage limits:
- Download → no impact
- Edit & regenerate → consumes generation quota
- Delete → frees storage
- Publish → consumes post quota
Usage updates are reflected immediately in the Dashboard.
Common mistakes to avoid
- deleting projects before downloading backups
- editing when a small change isn’t needed
- regenerating instead of reusing
- publishing without reviewing first
Project Actions are powerful — use them deliberately.
The CreatorOps perspective
Projects are long-lived assets.
Project Actions allow you to:
- treat videos as reusable inventory
- iterate safely without fear of loss
- distribute intentionally
- manage storage responsibly
This is CreatorOps applied to asset management.
