Publish Dialog

What is the Publish Dialog?

The Publish Dialog is the interface where a video is prepared for distribution to social platforms.

It is the final step between:

  • a generated or uploaded video
  • a live post on a connected channel

The dialog focuses on intentional publishing, not automation.

Where the Publish Dialog appears

You can open the Publish Dialog from:

  • Projects → Publish
  • Publish section → Create Post
  • contextual actions on completed videos

The dialog always starts with a selected video.

Video selection modes

The Publish Dialog supports two video sources:

AI-generated videos

Allows you to select from:

  • completed projects
  • previously generated videos

The video is preloaded and ready for posting.

Uploaded videos

Allows you to:

  • upload a video file manually
  • publish external or pre-made content

Uploaded videos are used only for publishing and do not become Projects.

Post metadata

Inside the dialog, you can define:

Title (optional)

  • used on platforms that support titles
  • optional depending on platform requirements

Description / Caption

  • main post text
  • hashtags and mentions supported
  • platform-specific limits enforced

You control the final copy.

Platform selection

You can choose one or more platforms to publish to.

Publishing is limited to:

  • platforms supported by your plan
  • channels you have connected

If no channels are available:

  • platform selection is disabled
  • you are prompted to connect accounts

Draft posts

Instead of publishing immediately, you can:

  • Save as Draft
  • revisit later
  • edit copy or platform selection
  • publish when ready

Drafts:

  • do not consume post quota
  • are fully editable
  • persist until deleted or published

Publishing behavior

When you publish:

  • the post is sent to selected platforms
  • publishing status updates immediately
  • post quota is consumed
  • the post appears in publish history

Publishing is explicit and cannot be undone from ReelBot.

Validation and safeguards

Before publishing, ReelBot validates:

  • video presence
  • platform selection
  • account connection
  • post quota availability

If a requirement is missing:

  • publishing is blocked
  • a clear message explains why

Limits and usage

Publishing:

  • consumes post quota
  • does not consume AI credits
  • does not consume video generation quota

Limits are visible throughout the dialog.

What the Publish Dialog does NOT do

The Publish Dialog does not:

  • edit videos
  • regenerate content
  • auto-generate captions
  • schedule posts for future times
  • bypass platform rules

It prepares and sends posts — nothing more.

Common mistakes to avoid

  • publishing without reviewing the video
  • forgetting to select platforms
  • assuming drafts are published
  • exceeding post limits unexpectedly

Always review before confirming.

Best practices

For efficient publishing:

  • batch posts using drafts
  • reuse high-performing videos
  • tailor captions per platform
  • monitor post quotas

Publishing works best when planned.

The CreatorOps perspective

In CreatorOps, publishing is a separate operational step.

The Publish Dialog exists to:

  • slow you down at the right moment
  • make intent explicit
  • prevent accidental distribution
  • support scalable workflows

Creation builds assets. Publishing deploys them.
