Publishing Issues

How publishing issues usually occur

Most publishing issues are precondition or platform related, not content failures.

Publishing in ReelBot depends on:

  • a completed video
  • connected channels
  • available post quota
  • platform availability
  • valid authentication

If any requirement is missing, publishing is blocked intentionally.

Publish button is disabled

What it means

Publishing cannot proceed yet.

Common causes

  • no video selected
  • no connected channels
  • post quota exhausted
  • required fields missing (caption or platform)

What to do

  1. Confirm a video is selected
  2. Check Channels for active connections
  3. Review post quota in Subscription & Usage
  4. Complete all required fields

The button is disabled to prevent invalid posts.

Post fails to publish

What it means

The publish request was sent but failed.

Common causes

  • expired channel authorization
  • temporary platform outage
  • platform-side validation error
  • network interruption

What to do

  • review the error message shown
  • reconnect the affected channel if needed
  • retry publishing after resolving the cause

Failed publishes do not consume post quota.

Draft publishes partially or not at all

What it means

A draft did not publish as expected.

Common causes

  • channel removed after draft creation
  • plan no longer supports the selected platform
  • quota exhausted before publishing

What to do

  • open the draft
  • reselect valid channels
  • confirm quota availability
  • publish again

Drafts are validated at publish time — not creation time.

Publishing succeeds but post is missing on platform

What it means

ReelBot reports success, but the post is not visible.

Common causes

  • platform processing delay
  • post under review by the platform
  • platform-specific visibility rules

What to do

  • wait a few minutes
  • check the platform directly
  • refresh the publish history

ReelBot cannot control platform moderation or delays.

Publishing to one platform fails, others succeed

What it means

One platform rejected the post while others accepted it.

Why this happens

Each platform has independent rules and APIs.

What to do

  • review the failure reason for the affected platform
  • retry publishing to that platform only
  • adjust copy or video if required

Partial success is expected behavior.

Can’t select a platform in Publish Dialog

What it means

A platform option is unavailable.

Common causes

  • no connected channel for that platform
  • plan does not support the platform
  • channel limit reached

What to do

  • connect the required channel
  • upgrade plan if needed
  • remove unused channels

Platform availability is plan-based.

Publishing consumes quota unexpectedly

What it means

You believe a publish consumed quota incorrectly.

Clarification

  • only successful publishes consume quota
  • failed publishes do not
  • drafts never consume quota

If quota appears wrong, refresh and recheck usage.

Duplicate posts appear

What it means

The same video appears posted multiple times.

Why this happens

  • publishing was retried intentionally
  • regeneration created a new project
  • drafts were published more than once

ReelBot does not prevent intentional reposting.

Publishing after channel removal

What it means

A draft or publish action references a removed channel.

What to do

  • open the draft
  • remove the invalid channel
  • select an active channel
  • publish again

Removed channels cannot be used.

Publishing during plan changes

What it means

Publishing fails after upgrading or downgrading.

Common causes

  • plan change not fully applied yet
  • quota recalculation in progress

What to do

  • refresh the app
  • wait a few seconds
  • retry publishing

Plan upgrades apply immediately, but UI refresh may lag briefly.

What publishing issues do NOT indicate

Publishing issues do not mean:

  • your video is broken
  • your draft is lost
  • your account is suspended
  • billing failed automatically

Publishing is isolated from creation and assets.

Best practices to avoid publishing issues

  • connect channels before drafting posts
  • monitor post quota proactively
  • review drafts before publishing
  • avoid removing channels mid-batch
  • publish during stable network conditions

Publishing rewards preparation.

When to contact support

Contact support if:

  • publishing fails repeatedly with valid setup
  • quota behaves incorrectly
  • errors contradict documentation
  • publish history shows inconsistent states

Include:

  • your User ID
  • platform(s) affected
  • draft or post ID
  • exact error message

The CreatorOps perspective

In CreatorOps, publishing is execution under constraints.

ReelBot:

  • validates intent before posting
  • isolates platform failures
  • protects quota
  • avoids silent retries

If publishing fails, the system is enforcing correctness.

Publishing is deliberate — when it fails, the reason is always visible.
