Asset Issues

How asset issues usually occur

Most asset-related issues are state or limit related, not failures.

Common causes include:

  • storage limits
  • unsupported file formats
  • orientation mismatches
  • incomplete uploads
  • asset deletion during drafts or batches

ReelBot surfaces asset issues clearly and blocks unsafe actions.

Asset upload fails

What it means

An asset did not upload successfully.

Common causes

  • file size exceeds plan limit
  • unsupported file format
  • network interruption
  • storage quota reached

What to do

  1. Check your storage usage
  2. Confirm file format is supported
  3. Retry upload with a smaller file
  4. Refresh and try again if network was unstable

Uploads do not consume AI credits.

Asset uploads but doesn’t appear

What it means

The upload succeeded but the asset isn’t visible.

Common causes

  • orientation filter hiding the asset
  • upload still processing
  • viewing the wrong asset tab

What to do

  • toggle Show all orientations
  • refresh the page
  • check the correct tab (My Videos / My Music)

Assets appear immediately once processing completes.

Can’t select an asset during video creation

What it means

An asset exists but cannot be selected.

Common causes

  • selecting more than one music track
  • asset deleted in another session
  • draft restored with missing assets

What to do

  • ensure only one music asset is selected
  • re-add the asset if it was deleted
  • refresh the draft state

ReelBot prevents invalid selections intentionally.

Asset preview not working

What it means

Preview fails to load or play.

Common causes

  • temporary network issue
  • asset still processing
  • unsupported preview format

What to do

  • wait a few seconds and retry
  • refresh the page
  • confirm the asset finished uploading

Previewing does not affect limits or usage.

Orientation mismatch issues

What it means

Assets don’t match the selected video orientation.

Why this happens

ReelBot filters assets by orientation by default to prevent mistakes.

What to do

  • toggle orientation filtering
  • confirm you want to use mismatched assets
  • switch video orientation if needed

This behavior is intentional and protective.

Storage limit reached

What it means

You’ve used all available storage for your plan.

What happens

  • new uploads are blocked
  • existing assets remain usable
  • shared assets remain available

What to do

  • delete unused assets
  • upgrade your plan for more storage
  • reuse shared assets where possible

Storage never resets automatically.

Deleted asset still appears in a project

What it means

An asset was deleted but appears in a generated video.

Why this is expected

Generated videos embed assets at render time.

Deleting an asset:

  • removes it from the library
  • does not affect existing videos

This is expected behavior.

Asset missing after restoring a draft

What it means

A draft references an asset that no longer exists.

Common causes

  • asset was deleted
  • asset upload failed previously

What to do

  • reselect a valid asset
  • complete the Assets step again

ReelBot will not auto-recover missing assets.

Image animation not available

What it means

AI image animation cannot be used.

Common causes

  • AI credits exhausted
  • feature not available on current plan
  • unsupported image format

What to do

  • check AI credit usage
  • upgrade plan if required
  • upload a supported image format

Image animation consumes AI credits.

Public asset search returns no results

What it means

No results were returned from the public library.

Common causes

  • overly specific search terms
  • orientation filter applied
  • temporary external API issue

What to do

  • broaden your search terms
  • disable orientation filtering
  • retry later if issue persists

Public assets are external and may vary.

What asset issues do NOT affect

Asset issues do not:

  • delete projects
  • affect published videos
  • consume AI credits unexpectedly
  • modify drafts silently

ReelBot isolates asset problems safely.

When to contact support

Contact support if:

  • assets consistently fail to upload
  • storage usage appears incorrect
  • assets disappear unexpectedly
  • behavior contradicts documentation

Include:

  • your User ID
  • asset type (video, music, image)
  • exact error message
  • steps to reproduce

The CreatorOps perspective

In CreatorOps, assets are inventory, not disposable files.

ReelBot:

  • protects against invalid usage
  • enforces limits explicitly
  • preserves generated outputs

Most asset issues are signals — not failures.
