Requirements & Prerequisites

What you need to get started

ReelBot is designed to work with minimal setup.

You don’t need editing skills, assets prepared in advance, or a fully defined brand.
Most users can generate their first video within minutes of signing in.

Required

These are the only things you must have before creating a video.

1. A ReelBot account

You must be signed in with:

  • an email/password account (email verified), or
  • a social login (Google, Apple, X, or Facebook)

Once signed in, you’ll have immediate access to the Video Studio.

2. An idea or topic

This can be very simple.

Examples:

  • a short opinion
  • a quick insight
  • a product explanation
  • a motivational thought

If you don’t have a topic ready, ReelBot can generate AI topic suggestions from keywords.

3. Available usage

Your account must have:

  • available AI credits, and
  • remaining video generations for your plan

You can always see your current usage and limits in the app before starting.

Optional (but helpful)

These are not required, but can improve your results.

Brand preferences

If you already have brand assets, you may optionally prepare:

  • a logo
  • preferred caption colors
  • a highlight color for spoken words

You can add these later using Brand Presets.

Custom assets

You may upload your own:

  • B-roll videos
  • background music

This is optional — ReelBot includes public and shared libraries you can use immediately.

Things you do not need

To avoid confusion, you do not need:

  • a video editor
  • timeline editing experience
  • pre-cut clips
  • captions prepared in advance
  • publishing accounts connected

All of these can be added or configured later.

Platform connections (not required to start)

Connecting social platforms is not required to generate videos.

You can:

  • generate and download videos without connecting any accounts
  • connect platforms later when you’re ready to publish

Currently supported platforms include TikTok, X, Instagram, and YouTube.

Language considerations

If your app language is not English, you’ll be able to choose:

  • whether to generate content in your selected language, or
  • continue using English for scripts and voiceovers

This choice affects:

  • AI topic and script generation
  • available voice options

Common first-time blockers

If you can’t proceed to the next step in the Video Studio, it’s usually because:

  • a required step hasn’t been completed
  • at least one B-roll clip hasn’t been selected
  • your AI credits or video quota are exhausted

The UI will always indicate what’s missing.

What to do next

Once these requirements are met, you’re ready to continue.
