Creating Your First Video

Goal of this guide

This guide walks you through creating your first video with ReelBot.

The goal is not to optimize everything — it’s to experience the full flow once, from idea to generated video.
You can refine tone, assets, and branding later.

Step 1: Open the Video Studio

After signing in, click Create New Video from:

  • the dashboard quick actions, or
  • the Projects page

This opens the Video Studio, where all video creation happens.

Step 2: Choose a video type

ReelBot offers two video types:

With Narration

AI-generated voiceover with synchronized captions.
Best for:

  • explainers
  • storytelling
  • educational content
  • opinion or insight videos

Cinematic / Music Only

B-roll footage with background music only.
Best for:

  • aesthetic content
  • visual showcases
  • mood-based videos

👉 For your first video, choose With Narration.

Step 3: Choose the content language (if applicable)

If your app language is not English, you may see an option to:

  • generate content in your selected language, or
  • continue in English

This choice affects:

  • topic suggestions
  • script generation
  • available voice options

Choose whichever you’re most comfortable reviewing.

Step 4: Add a topic

In the Topic step, you can either:

Option A: Enter a topic manually

Type a short description of what the video should be about.

Example:

“Why consistency matters more than viral videos”

Option B: Generate AI topic suggestions

  1. Click Get AI topic suggestions
  2. Enter a few keywords
  3. Choose one of the suggested topics

Once a topic is selected, continue to the next step.

Step 5: Generate a script

In the Script step:

  • Review the generated script, or
  • Click Regenerate if you want a different version

The script length is automatically adjusted based on the selected video duration.

👉 Don’t over-edit here. You can refine later.

Step 6: Generate the voiceover

In the Voiceover step:

  1. Select a voice from the available options
  2. Review the voice type and accent
  3. Click Generate voiceover

Once generated, you can:

  • listen to the audio
  • regenerate with a different voice if needed

When satisfied, move to the next step.

Step 7: Select assets (B-roll and music)

Choose B-roll

You must select at least one B-roll clip.

You can choose from:

  • My Videos (uploaded assets)
  • Public Videos (search from the shared library)
  • AI Studio (turn an image into a short animated clip)

Select one or more clips.
The order you select them matters.

Choose music (optional)

You may optionally select one background music track from:

  • your music library, or
  • the shared library

Step 8: Review and generate

In the Review step, you’ll see a summary of:

  • duration
  • tone
  • captions
  • selected assets
  • voice and music

If everything looks good, click Generate Video.

ReelBot will:

  • compose the video
  • synchronize voice and captions
  • apply selected assets and settings

You’ll see progress updates until the video is complete.

Step 9: Preview your video

Once generation finishes, you can:

  • Preview the video
  • Download it
  • Publish it
  • Regenerate it
  • Save settings as a template
  • Create another video

Congratulations — you’ve created your first ReelBot video 🎉

What happens next

After your first video, you may want to:

  • Experiment with different tones
  • Adjust duration or captions size
  • Add a brand preset
  • Batch multiple videos at once
  • Explore publishing workflows

All of that is covered in later sections.

Tip for first-time users

The best way to learn ReelBot is to:

  1. Keep your first video simple
  2. Accept most defaults
  3. Focus on understanding the flow

Optimization comes naturally after you’ve seen the full process once.
